Satisfied with your content marketing results this year?

Have you been satisfied with your content marketing results this year?

According to a report by Content Marketing Institute, the answer is most likely “no.”

Top 3 content marketing challenges among those surveyed were:
-Lack of resources
-Measuring results
-Aligning content with the customer journey.

Those who HAVE had content marketing success had these things in common…

-They understood their audience’s needs;
-They created high-quality content;
-They’ve created efficient workflows.

Listen, I know first hand that creating great content with good results isn’t easy.

And neither is being consistent with content creation, which also important.

But the #1 problem cited with content creation is creating content that prompts a desired action.

Which most people consider is their audience making a purchase.

But that shouldn’t always be your goal in creating content.

And rarely does marketing ever even work that way!

Remember, there’s a customer JOURNEY.

And it doesn’t start with them buying. ⛔

To have successful content, you’ll need to create content for each stage of the customer journey.

Many of those surveyed said they didn’t know the technology well enough to create great content.

Or they’re not using the technology to it’s full potential.

And I’d have to say I see that a lot among my clients as well.

Also, businesses that have not taken the time to develop a content creation plan risk hurting their sales process. 😬

Content that is not aligned to a marketing strategy is facing brand inconsistencies.

Having a content creation process leads to greater content consistency, better quality, more efficient use of resources, and better audience engagement. 👍

How to Use Keywords For SEO and Get Your Blog Found

Keywords for SEO at www.xtreme-assistant.com

I mentioned in my previous post, Effective Content Marketing Blogging Strategy, that keywords are important for your blogging strategy.

A keyword is a primary word or phrase for your blog post. It defines the main point of your post.

Keywords can help your blog post get found and boost higher in the search engine ranking. It’s part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Without the right keywords for SEO, potential customers may not find you and your great content online. On the contrary, the right keywords will enable you to dominate your competition and attain a higher ranking in the search results.

When you create content people are looking for, you can rank on search engines for your chosen keywords. So, when you have an article about, “how to save on groceries,” readers can find you through search engines.

You’ll want to optimize your blog post with these keywords. Make sure they’re used in your headline, sub-headlines, content, tags, and URL of the blog post. Just make sure they appear and sound natural in your content.

After all, 51% of all website traffic comes from organic search according to SEMrush.
